We have had a wonderful Easter down at Kiawah. It's an annual event to be at the beach for Easter and this year marked the first time that it rained. It was about an hour before the big Easter egg hunt that the rain came pouring down. Luckily, the Easter bunny gave the girls some overalls that I used as a backup outfit for the rain. But, just as we started to go, the sun came out and it turned out to be absolutely beautiful. The girls enjoyed all the festivities and Allie-Ann was a mad, egg-hunting machine. She was serious this year. It was too funny. Belle found one egg and then didn't want anything to do with it. I'm sure this will change in years to come. I hope you all have had a blessed Easter!
Easter morning....so excited.
The girls' Easter baskets
Belle checking things out...
Enjoying her first peep, or this might have been her second.
Taking a picture with the Easter Bunny....Belle was not excited about meeting him.
Can't beat John Deere overalls!

Allie-Ann, Ella and Belle
These girls are going to be trouble. Allie-Ann, Ella and Belle....get used to hearing those names. Today, we spent a beautiful day at the Zoo with my sister and brother-in-law. We had so much fun, but I tell you, these girls were all over the place. They pretty much ruled the zoo, with Belle running in the complete opposite direction, Allie-Ann running into everybody and little Ella running around like the road runner. It was hilarious but so much fun. I can't wait to see these girls grow up together. They all have such complete different personalities but mesh so well. Although this was a very busy weekend, we had so much fun just being outdoors with friends and family...we are so blessed. I'm hoping this weather continues to stay around for awhile, I love the 70s.
So sweet to see Allie-Ann and Ella hold hands.
Going somewhere????
Beautiful picture of a beautiful family!

Happy St. Paddy's Day
We celebrated St. Paddy's Day a little early by spending time with friends on the lake. It was such a beautiful day and Allie-Ann had such a great time with her two best friends, Charlotte and Jackson. As much as she loves her friends, we've become such good friends with their parents. But, to be honest, I just wanted to lay around all day in my Pjs because on Saturdays these days, all I want to do is stay home and relax because I'm so tired from the week. But I'm glad I sucked it up to spend the day out because it was so nice. We've got another big day planned tomorrow...the weekends go by so fast! Here are some pictures of the girls.
Belle enjoying her first juice box. Didn't take this girl long to understand how to use the straw.
I'm now able to pull Belle's hair back in pigtails. She's so cute with them.
Allie-Ann chillin' with Jackson. She was so disappointed that I didn't have a solid green outfit for her to wear to the party. I had to find some green beads to satisfy the girl...geesh.
This was her second juice box....living it up at the party.

35
Today, I turned 35.....35...really?!! In five more years, I will be 40....wow. But they say 40 is the new 20. To celebrate turning 35, I took Allie-Ann to the Circus. After spending a glob of money just on popcorn and lemonade, we were able to enjoy the 3 hour show. I don't know how Allie-Ann made it through but she did and we have an empty box of popcorn to prove it.
It's been a beautiful weekend and it makes me so excited for spring, but I literally can't stand daylight saving time. It turns my children into these little monsters at night. What gives....just when I have them in bed and on schedule we have this crazy time change. Now it's light in their rooms at night and Allie-Ann will not sleep unless it's pitch-black dark. So goes getting them to bed at a reasonable hour.
Did I tell you that working five days a week is so hard with children. We are managing but I tell you, it's no joke. I'm completely exhausted by Friday and I find myself not being able to stay up past 9 anymore. When the weekend comes, I get to catch up on laundry and house chores, but lucky for me that I have a wonderful husband who was very nice to his birthday girl this weekend and seriously did everything. That was the best birthday present ever! So I'm going to go to bed tonight a year older and will start a new week as a 35 year old and hopefully won't find any new grays. Ha!
I love this picture because you can see monkey #2 in the background doing who knows what.
Grammy went with us to the Circus today, I believe she had tons of fun...ha!

Allie-Ann
I've realized that many of my pictures lately have been just of Belle so I thought I would share some Allie-Ann pictures and updates.
Where do I begin with Allie-Ann. She is one spunky kid. I've never seen any 4 year old be as outgoing and friendly. She has such a big heart and it makes me so proud to be her momma. This doesn't mean that she is perfect, by all means, this little girl can get under my skin big time. But for the most part, she's a pretty good kid. I will say that Allie-Ann has some essentric qualities though, like for instance, she can't watch movies that have conflict or drama....so no Disney movies for us. She hasn't watched one single Disney or Piscar movie. One time we tried to watch the Fox and the Hound and she cried and cried. No go. She continues to love reading and her books. Nonfiction is her choice reading these days. I can't begin to tell you how much she is learning in school. Her school offers Spanish twice a week and she's coming home speaking Spanish. In addition, they teach Hebrew and she's learning a few words and songs. I'm toying with keeping her in Kindergarten but I believe I'm still in favor of public school education for her, we will see. Although she loves learning, her most favorite thing to do is draw. Allie-Ann can really draw, I'm not just saying this as her momma but the girl can really draw. I will just put it this way, she can make people figures better than me.
But, one of the best qualities Allie-Ann has is her sense of humor. The other day I had to put her in time-out and since she wouldn't go to her regular spot I just told her to sit on the floor until timeout was completed. It wasn't but a minute later that I saw her in the military crawl position, inching her way into the kitchen (like I wouldn't see her...geesh). Then when she saw that I noticed her, she immediately started laughing...but I had to laugh too. Dang this parenting! As hard as it is sometimes, this little girls makes me so proud and I can't wait to see what she becomes one day.
