First Visit to the Swamp

We took Allie-Ann on her first day hike to Congaree National Park. For Christmas, uncle Philip and Brianna got us a backpack carrier for Allie-Ann. It is awesome!!!!! Thanks uncle Philip and Brianna!!! In fact, if you can only imagine, she fell asleep in it sitting up. Pictures to prove it below. We had a good day just being outside and taking in the nature of the swamp. No bugs yet, thank goodness. So, here are some of the pictures we took today.

Getting Ready for the hike, doesn't look like much fun.

I take it back this is fun!!!!

Are we ready for this little girl???

Allie-Ann is turning into quite the character. She is very entertaining to us. I think it's great that she plays so well on her own and loves her toys but I have to question some of the latest things she has been up to.

Exhibit A: Hiding in a basket.

Yes, I found her this way the other day. She managed to pull the basket over, reach inside and pull out all the toys and roll over to put her head inside. Yep, she did all these things and stayed in the the basket for over a couple of minutes with little or no movement. It was almost as if she was hiding but didn't think about the rest of her body showing. She is also loving the fact that she can spit her food out (I'll have to get this on video). She will laugh every time, and I laugh right along with her. It's just too funny, so I don't know if I'm going to be a very good at this discipline thing. She's just so wonderful and we are having the best time.

6 months old today!!!!

Okay, so this may be the last picture I take of her on my boppy pillow. She is not cooperating as she did when she was a month or two and didn't move. Now, she is all over the place. It's amazing the changes she is making each day. I love how she now cuddles with me, it's adorable and makes me feel so blessed. She is also sitting without support which is fun because now I can see her play instead of holding her from behind. She is also grabbing at everything she can find, a busy body. It's hard to imagine that she is half a year old already!!! So, here are the best pictures I could take of her.

Allie-Ann's Baptism and Beach Weekend!!

Allie-Ann was baptised today, we were so proud of her. She didn't cry at all and was just great during the whole thing. Even better was the fact that she didn't spit up on her gown. I want to thank my wonderful family for coming and being so supportive to Allie-Ann. We are truly blessed and thankful for each of you. Here are some pictures of her at the service and at the beach with Kampa and Grandmama Crotwell. Thanks for a great weekend!!!

Mischievous Allie Ann

So if this is any indication for what we have to come, we are in trouble!!!! Yes, she is already causing quite a stir. This morning she was playing on her playmat while I was reading and the next thing I knew she was MIA again!!!!! But, as I was looking for her I saw a hand pop out underneath the couch that we have in our office. She had managed to roll under it and play hide-and-seek. She loved pulling the blanket over her as she was hiding. So, on to another story. We bought Allie Ann a mobile before she was born b/c it was supposed to help with her vision and development. Well, as you can see in the video she has learned how to grab it so it will stop playing and spinning. In fact, it's really our alarm clock for when she wakes up in the morning b/c she will push the button for it to play. Yeah, I don't know what we are going to do, we're already having a time and she's only 5 months old.

The hand under the couch...Allie Ann thinking "No one will find me now!!!"

Here I am Mommy!!!
This is so much fun!!

Where can I hide next...

Just having fun with Mommy
