Last Day of 1 year old and 4K classes!

So today is my girls last day of school....I can't believe it. It's been a unique year for us but I'm happy to say that both girls are incredibly happy at their new school and we have all adjusted. Allie-Ann began her preschool at a wonderful church program near our home. She was in the 3K class but then moved mid-year to a private preschool program where she was put into a 4K program. She adjusted but it was tough for her at first. But now she comes home talking about all her girlfriends and....uh-hum, boyfriends...to which her Daddy does not like her talking about. But we will forever be grateful for the wonderful teachers both girls have had this year. They were brilliant and we will miss them next year. Ms. Ud, Belle's teacher, was one-in-a-million. Such a special lady that has a spirit for working with young children that I've never quite seen before. Next year Belle will be going into 2k and Allie-Ann will be going into Kindergarten....I just can't believe it. Little Allie-Ann is not really supposed to be going into Kindergarten but the director and principal thought she would be ready for Kindergarten and of course she will have some of her same friends in her class next year so we went with it. We will see how that goes. 
I'm so ready for a little summer break, we have big plans for the summer. Well....if you consider just lying around a lot as our plan. We do have two summer camps for Allie-Ann and we have a beach trip for Belle's 2nd birthday. I'm planning an "Owl" themed birthday for her. She is in love with owls and so what better theme for her. I think the cake will be simple but of course I will be searching for ideas. More on that later. So I leave with you some pictures of the girls I took this morning on their last day of school.

First day of 3K

 Last day of 4K....of course she wouldn't smile. Now mind you, this picture was taken at around 6:45 in the morning, the picture above was taken around 8:45. Big change in the time I have to drag her out of bed...ha!

Spoiled...

We've been so spoiled this weekend by the most beautiful weather. It's been perfect!! And, what better time to break in our pool membership for the summer this weekend. I'm loving the pool and we've been taking the girls each morning and afternoon. It's been so nice and Allie-Ann is having a ball. It helps that the club pool is right near our house. We didn't go anywhere this Memorial Day but we've had a blast just hanging around town going to the parks, pool, Grammy's and the lake and other places. Here are some pictures of the girls at the park. I'll post more pictures soon from the weekend.

Hard to believe this coming week will be Allie-Ann's last week of school. But harder to believe that she will be going to Kindergarten next fall. 

 Oh, Belle....what's a mommy to do with this munchkin. She's a mess and will NOT leave my side these days. 

Oh, I remember...

I had to be stay-at-home mommy today, Allie-Ann ran a fever all night and I had to keep her home today. I was too lazy to take Belle to school, so she stayed with us too. How quickly have I forgotten how hard this stay-at-home mommy thing is. It's rough but I do miss it. It was nice to fix the girls a nutritional breakfast besides a quick bowl of cereal or a Pop-tart. It was nice to just relax around the house and not feel rushed. And it was nice to just reconnect with the girls one-on-one again. I took a few pictures of our day. We've been pretty mellow since Allie-Ann is still feeling poor but we did go outside for a little bit. I'm loving this warmer weather....bring on the shorts!

Blog Slacker

I've been such a blog slacker lately. Being a working mom is tough and I find that I have very little time to do much of anything during the week and weekends. I'm going to try to be better about it because blogging means so much and keeping track of my girls and their memories is so important. So here are some catch up photos. We are spending the weekend at the beach to celebrate Kyle's grandma's (Granny) 95th birthday. I'm amazed by her and all that she can do at 95! So we are enjoying our time with family but I only wish we could stay longer....we have to go back tomorrow. But, it won't be long till we both have a little break in our schedule and we can look forward to the summer. I'm so ready for a little break and to enjoy my girls during the week more.
