Day 3, 4: Kauai

We made it to Kauai....and it is absolutely breathtaking here! I can't get over the lushness of the island and the beautiful mountains. Being here explains why many movies are filmed here on this little island. We've been enjoying ourselves and the local beaches in Poipu. Poipu is a little town that has only one grocery store and a few shopping and restaurant places on the south side of the island. It's perfect for us in that it's quiet. The Grand Hyatt is right next door to us, which is nice because we can hear the music each night and enjoy Shipwreck beach in the evenings. 
We've been able to see a few sites already like Spouting Horn, Baby Beach, and the Kauai Plantation Fields by train. 
The girls enjoyed the train ride this morning and feeding the wild pigs. The pigs, however, were very aggressive and I was pleased that we were behind the fence. We also had a lovely brunch at Gaylord's Manor. Allie-Ann loved it because she got to pick out her own food from the buffet. The things that please a 5 year old. 
We are heading out to the North Shore tomorrow and hope to blog more when I'm not too tired.
