Summer Mountain Trip 2013

We are back from our little mini-trip to the mountains (thanks Betsy and John). We had such a great time but traveling with a 23 month old and 4 year old can at times be very nerving. They both were champs about 85% of the time...ha. But, at least we were able to get some fresh air and see some awesome scenery. As adventurous as Kyle and I are we have seriously slowed down as parents. Instead of finding the most strenuous hiking trips we look now for paved, kid-friendly ventures. But at the end of the day, as we tote our girls around we find that with children you might as well say that you went on a 15 mile hiking trip....because it feels like it by the time you put them to bed. Brevard is really a neat place and being disconnected for several days was very refreshing!

I really, really wanted to go here to eat but it was a little too fancy for our little girls (no kids menu...boo!)

So, we went right next door to Marco's which was very delicious!

As you can see...
We ate breakfast every morning outside...it was wonderful! Pop Tarts...champion of breakfast.

Pretty Place on Father's Day!

One remarkable man equals one remarkable father!

Cradle of Forestry...pretty cool place for kiddos.

Kyle helping Allie-Ann get ready to throw rocks in the creek....a most do in the mountains!

 A white squirrel...a favorite for Allie-Ann!

One of the first school houses at the Cradle of Forestry.
Allie-Ann found this comfy bear sitting on a bench so she decided to sit with it.

Having milkshakes at the Soda Shop!
The 15% of our bad times

Showing off some of her gymnastic moves!
