Charleston Aquarium and Carnival
We went to the Charleston Aquarium to get out of the heat today. Thank goodness it wasn't crowded when we got there at 9:00 in the morning!!! But people started pouring in once we left. Allie-Ann basically had the floor to herself. I wanted to get there early because last time we couldn't see a single animal it was so crowded. Finally, Allie-Ann was free to go to the petting place and touch all the animals. It was so nice!! Plus, we didn't have to pay for admission b/c of our SC teacher's certification. Nice!!! We then went to a park in downtown Charleston that we knew Allie-Ann would enjoy and she did. It's been a fun and busy week and Allie-Ann is having a blast, I hate to think about leaving soon.

Petting Zoo, and Tower
Looking up at the top of the tower while daddy takes a picture from the top, we have a lot of steps to climb
Beach 2010 Continued...
Yesterday was a great day, we played in the ocean and then went to the the Farmer's Market where Allie-Ann got to make her very own sun visor (which was an excellent craft to make on a sunny, hot day), then she got to decorate a beach ball. She LOVED it!! We then walked around the market and looked into some shops. But Allie-Ann's favorite part of the day was going grocery shopping. The grocery store had little mini-shopping carts which were just her size. So she took off, just like her mommy does and started to fill the cart. It was priceless. So the things she put in her cart were; a tomato, celery, she tried to put milk in but I had to stop her b/c we already had milk, this organic animal cereal box with gorillas, and monkeys on the front, a package of powdered doughnuts, and diet coke. I was smiling the whole time just watching the things SHE wanted to put in her grocery cart. Then we proceeded to check out where I had to tell the cashier the only things we needed were the diet cokes. Kyle actually took the items back. Too funny! So here are some pictures to share.
I'm almost finished, mommy, just a few more things.
Does this beach ball go on my head?? I'm confused as to why it isn't a ball yet??

Beach 2010
We are spending our last full week of freedom at the beach. Work freedom that is. Kyle has to go back to work next week and I will soon be starting my job in another week. Thanks Kampa and Grandmama for letting us stay at your place!! Each time we bring Allie-Ann to the beach she just seems years older. She loves the ocean and would rather be in the waves than digging in the sand. Allie-Ann spent much of her morning playing in the water, she likes to sit close to the water's edge and have the waves rush over her, she just laughs and laughs. Here are a few pictures I took this morning, it is very hot but being in the water has helped cool us off. Tonight we are off to the Farmer's Market to listen to some music!

Playing with Daddy in the sand.
Mommy likes to lay out but I don't think Allie-Ann is very interested.

Our Ladybug!!
Allie-Ann found her old Halloween costume from last year and wanted to put it on. Apparently she has entered the "dress up" phase because she is really having fun trying on mommy's clothes and shoes lately. It's so cute to see her trotting around in my hills and she will say as she is wearing them, "Outside?" Like I'm going to let her run around in my shoes, it's too cute. I thought I would share some pictures of our little ladybug. Of course, she put it on backwards but that's okay.

Staying Cool...
To stay cool, we decided to take Allie-Ann to a water park!! She was a little hesitant at first but realized that walking through splashing water and sprayers was pretty awesome. She suddenly got a hold of her fears and went to town, splashing and stamping her feet. She was soaked in a matter of minutes and so were her mommy and daddy. It was a lot of fun and much needed on days like today. Here are a few pictures to share.

I think I like all this water in my face...

Not really sure what to think about all this..

After all the splashing and running around in the water sprayers, we needed a snack and rest break.

Wait until I'm finished with my snack, I tell you who's boss, you water hose!!
