NO AC!!!!!

I've seen it in movies... everything turns for the worse....mid-summer hot temps......no Air Conditioning...and a screaming baby in the background. Well, this has happened to us this weekend except for the screaming baby part. Yes, we have no AC and it is HOT, HOT, HOT. We thought about pitching our tent outside tonight but thought little Allie-Ann might like her comfy bed. We have all the fans running and all the windows open. Kyle's parents came over for a visit this evening and they were such good troopers, but the best trooper of all has been Allie-Ann. She is just one happy-go-lucky baby. She deals with it and we are so fortunate but probably after a couple more days of this we might have different pictures to show of her.

This is a picture of her when our AC went out today, I gave her some ice in her mesh food baggie.

I'm feeling Hot, Hot, Hot...
These pictures were taken before the heat went out

Soccer beginnings...

So Kyle is now excited about the prospects of Allie-Ann becoming the next Mia Hamm. She kicked a little ball and that's all it took to get Kyle into trainer mode. I would imagine that next weekend he will have her in our backyard with a net. But, it was still impressive that she knew how to kick a ball. She just saw the ball and kicked it, we were both surprised and even more surprised when she kept doing it. So, we might have a future soccer player. I still think that she is going to be a dancer and she was just practicing her point. Here are the videos of our little kicker.

Standing Tall and Proud

Allie-Ann is standing and pulling up on just about anything she can find now. Check out her go-go tights. Yeah, I have to put these on her so she doesn't skin up her knees when she is crawling around and yes, she is a true crawler now. She is on all fours and is up and running. She finally figured out that it was much easier to crawl than to do the military creep. We also have noticed that she loves the vacuum cleaner, maybe this is a good sign and that she will be a very neat baby....yeah, I'm dreaming. But, she gets on top of it like she wants to go for a ride, it's too cute.

Maybe, I can help mommy clean the house..
Look at me, I'm a big girl now!!
Yeah....I know you want some tights too...

8 months old today!!!

Allie-Ann turned 8 months today. She is still creeping but has learned how to pull herself up to a standing position and crawl over things. I believe she may start walking before she is able to crawl. She is an active little girl, always on the go. She is starting on her level 3 foods and soon will be eating finger foods. She is very observant and has noticed the bird nest on our front porch with brand new baby birds. Once the baby birds start chirping she looks immediately out the window at them. It's pretty neat and she loves to hear sounds especially if she's making it. So, we have given her pots to bang. She's not interested in store bought toys but finds boxes, sticks, and paper very interesting. Here is her 8 month pictures.

Beach Trip for Mother's Day

Kyle and I decided to hit the beach for the weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. What a beautiful weekend with plenty of sunshine and nice weather. We were even able to put a swimsuit on Allie-Ann for the first time to the pool. She loves the water, I think she's going to be a waterbug, like her mommy and daddy. We also took her to see some waves but is not quite ready for the big time. Her knees got wet by a wave and she wasn't having any part of the ocean after that. Overall we had a great first Mother's Day at the beach. Here are some pictures.

Allie-Ann before and After shot

Here's a picture of our Allie-Ann being held by her uncle Christopher when she was first born till now at close to 8 months old. Thought it was pretty cool to see the difference. We spent a great Saturday with Allie-Ann's Kampa, Grandmama and uncle Christopher and aunt Shannon. She had so much fun she didn't want to take a nap.

Bathtime Fun

Can I just tell you how much fun Allie-Ann has in the bath tub. She absolutely loves the water and will splash around until there is hardly any water left. So.. I finally took some pictures, it's one of those things where I've asked myself, why haven't I taken a picture of her in the tub yet? So here are a few pics.
